Peter and the Starcatchers
Peter and the Starcatchers - Greg Call,Ridley Pearson,Dave Barry 4.5 stars
I’ve a thing for this sort of books and Peter’s story always strings a cord in my heart with all the sadness of never growing up while seeing all the others around you do.
This book was about how Peter became Peter and how got to be in Neverland and I really liked it.
(See reading activity for more thoughts while reading it, because it felt a little slow for me, for some reason)

Peter Pan Rewrite
Peter and the Starcatchers - Greg Call,Ridley Pearson,Dave Barry

I enjoy reading classic novel remakes. Some of my favorites include Bored of the Rings, The Legend of Decimus Croome: A Halloween Carol & Peter & the Starcatchers.

I was a huge fan of Dave Barry's weekly newspaper articles and often read them aloud to my sixth grade students. When Peter and the Starcatchers was published, I read excerpts from it also. Dave Barry's humor was apparent throughout the novel.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
Peter and the Starcatchers - Greg Call,Ridley Pearson,Dave Barry

I got this audio book the SYNC summer program.

The cover is definitely very Peter Pan, and I think it will attract any Peter Pan fans to read it.

I listened to this book in the car with my son to and from school.  My son really enjoyed this book and wants to listen to the rest of the series if I can afford to get them in the future :)

Peter and Molly are awesome lead characters.  I loved all the adventures that they had.  All the details and Peter Pan references was awesome.  This really was a long book too!!  I was amazed how long it was and how many chapters were in this story.  This book had a mission, flying, pirates, mermaids, a wrecked ship, giant storm, fighting, talking porpoises, and so much more.

If you have seen Peter Pan and liked it, you need to read this book because you will definitely like it.  This is a fabulous book to read with your son, and it is for all ages, but probably more for middle grade readers.

Peter and the Starcatchers
Peter and the Starcatchers - Greg Call,Ridley Pearson,Dave Barry Now I can't compare this prequel to the original Peter Pan because I have never read it and since this is really connected to Disney's and I only have vague recollections of the movie so I can't judge on how it compares. It is a strong fantasy story. Character's aren't as defined as I liked and I felt like it was missing some things. I have come to realize that my favorite character from Peter Pan is Tinker Bell and I missed her in this. I also wanted to know more about the Starcatchers I feel like they could have expanded more on them and their mystical treasure. The book is okay and I am not sure I will read the other books in the series written by the authors because basically if I do, it would be to say I read them and not because I loved the series. I thought there would be more humor since author Dave Barry was co-author. There was some humor but could have it could have been lighter.
