I updated Android a day or two ago. No issues, until I tried to read my latest Ao Oni book during lunch today. It turns out that the app I generally use won't work with the new version of Android. Which, okay, I can use a different app and try to figure out where I stopped reading. But 1) I really liked this app and 2) this means that I've lost my notes for one book I haven't reviewed yet. Hopefully they update the app soon, but users have apparently been complaining about this since late September with no response from the developer, so it doesn't sound good.

I am sure that if it wasn't spelled out clearly, it was in the small print and I just missed it, but I think using the term 'unlimited' is a bit misleading... you can only have ten books out at once...

Can we call it that? When you start a book and you get that feeling like, "oh shit, this is sooooo good, but I can't keep going because I have all these other things that MUST happen, like, buy groceries for my family so they don't go hungry all week or wash clothes so I don't wear a barrel with straps, etc."

You have to stop yourself because you know you won't be able to, the deeper you go into it? Real Life Intrusion Syndrome, maybe?

Or there a better name for this?

I'm teaching all next week so I need to organize my household game, straighten up my desk, wear actually presentable clothing in public, so there's no losing myself in Corey Ann Haydu's LIFE BY COMMITTEE until we're all eating uncooked pasta and I have hoot owls nesting in my hair, you know?
