If we think of Friendship Day as simply another

"Now a days people are blindly spending money on buying cheap plastic items to gift, whose production increases during this so-called special occasion. We can blame advertisements and easy availability of goods, for channeling our minds in a way that we only think of materialistic things when it comes to any celebrations.Other than the disappearance of emotions, one other issue that commercialisation has brought in, especially for environmentalists, is the increment in the usage of the substance which adds up to the plastic pollution in our surroundings. The youths are not completely to be blamed for going off the emotions and accepting commercialisation as a gift to their generation, perhaps their office work and shortage of artisanship can be the reason to go from custom handmade gifts to something contemporary. In fact, celebration "has become a way to sneak into those online shopping websites and just order anything available within our budget," said Gurnita Das, owner of an online shopping website."Festivals have become more like formalities since the purchasing power of millennial is increasing and of course because they have access to technology. But yeah definitely things have changed, in school we used to gift those beaded bands with our friends name on it and now a cool gadget works," said 27-year-old, Alfaz Mohammad, PS sheets one of the customers at the popular gifting shop. But now, whenever Friendship Day is at the verge of arriving, we think of some eye-appealing presents in the shop window, as commercialisation has changed the way we look at anything in todays world. They just log in, scroll down, click and purchase.Another customer from the same gifting shop added, "Everything changes with time, so does the way of celebrating fiestas.

If we think of Friendship Day as simply another way of indulging ourselves and spending money, it will ruin the very purpose of the celebrating love of our beloved friends. What comes to your mind when you think of celebrating Friendship Day? If we were in the 90s, we would probably picture writing a letter, making cards or maybe preparing some mouth-watering dishes for the bosom buddy. They are meant to be occasions for spending love on the person who was there in our high and lows. Commercialisation has almost destroyed our senses and environment, and we are not able to realise it," said Vikas Bhalla, one of the customers from the gifting shop. How do we expect to pull out some emotion of this? Sadly, everything including my favourite time of the year- friendship day has become money-oriented, "said Gurnita."Its not like I am not sensitive enough, its just the busy schedule from the job and lack of creativity that I prefer buying what is trending. It is no more about spending time in modelling something from our own hands. So its time, we understand, the day is not meant to be an opportunity for financial gain for brands and companies. In the present time, its through investing your hard-earned bucks to buy happiness and I dont think there is anything negative about it," said Chiththarthan Prasad. On the one hand, environmentalists are finding ways to eradicate plastic from the earth whereas, on the other hand, everyone encourages manufacturers to produce such harmful things by buying plastic bands, plastic gadgets, etc.

“History has taught us that only public led revolutions has have brought change. There is simply no other species on our planet that creates waste, forces others to live amongst it and directly and indirectly negatively harms everything around it. Seek out those who are planning, organising and mobilising and join the tribe! It’s never too late and can only help strengthen and amplify the voices. There are many for whom it just isn’t a choice – think of the people who are repeatedly impacted by natural disasters or even China PP/POLYPROPYLENE SHEET FOR THEROFORMING Suppliers manmade ones like the hurricanes in The Bahamas or the Flint Water Crisis or even the ones for whom basic food and shelter is a priority for themselves and their families.

A movement that started with a teenage girl in Sweden has mobilised millions across the world to strike against climate inaction, many of whom are children and young adults. While schemes like odd-even are great – why do them only for a few days a year?Using the metro, public buses and car-pooling to school or work is the way to move ahead! More demand and usage of public transport will and can createbetter last mile connectivity. The rivers in India, starting with the 2,525 km-long Ganges, act as a carrier for plastic waste to oceans. A recent study that found Australian plastic among waste contaminating Indonesian food chains is direct evidence. Everything is a resource and once you realise that I doubt you would want to toss it.

Through our land and river-based technology solutions, we hope to reduce ocean plastic pollution where it begins. “We have started our journey with river Ganges in Varanasi for that precise reason. Several individuals across the world have joined hands to demand immediate climate action from their local, state and national elected representatives. If you aren’t feeling inspired enough to start a movement, maybe joining one will do the trick! Movements from the ground up have led to revolutions across the world. As we move into a new decade and closer to a climate catastrophe as most scientists are predicting, there is an increasing need to wake up from our deep slumber and act because like Greta rightly said: “I want you to act as if our house is on fire. The other fallacy that we have conceived over the years is the concept of ‘away’.The Way AheadThe transportation sector plays a key role in economic activity and social integration but it also relies on fossil fuels. This year let’s make an important resolution — to protect, preserve and serve when our planetary health is in dire straits.
