The Nord X is the new addition to the Nord range of pod mods. The original Nord was an absolute beauty – I own 2 of them and the Nord 2 seemed to get even better! So what is the Nord X all about… So on the original Nord kit, you could not adjust the output. On the Nord 2 device, you got a screen and adjustable output from 1-40W. The SMOK Nord X Kit again has a screen – and the wattage is variable between 5-60W. The internal battery has the same capacity as the Nord 2 at 1500mAh which you can recharge via the UBS Type C port at up to 1.2A charge rate in 75 minutes.Design-wise this looks very much like the rest of the Nord range but this time it is IP67 Waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. There are 2 different nord x rpm pods included in the kit and they are compatible with different coil ranges: RPM pod – this is compatible with the existing RPM coil range and a 0.4ohm Mesh coil is installed, RPM 2 pod – this is compatible with the RPM 2 range of coils and a 0.16ohm Meshed coil is installed. The pods are refillable and you can just replace the coils without discarding the entire pod.

Have you used the Nfix kit by SMOK? This time we'll be covering their Nfix Mate kit which is a variant of the original Nfix kit. Let's dive in for more details.

SMOK Nfix Mate continues the popularity and similar design elements of the previous Nfix kit, but with a brand new battery capacity and a draw-activated system. However, it has a square form factor, making it easier to carry in the pocket. The inside of the Nfix Mate houses a 1100mAh battery that, as previously mentioned, permits up to 320 puffs on a single charge. This ensures long vape times, but if a recharge is needed, you can simply do so via a Type-C port. This charging interface operates with a 0.69A current to finish the process in less than 90 minutes.

Technically, the Nfix Mate is capable of 25W of power, adjustable from only one watt. Making changes to this setting is done by way of a 0.69" OLED screen on the front and an adjustment button on the side. On the screen, you can see specific operating details such as the selected power, the battery's charge level, a puff counter, the pod's atomizer resistance, and voltage. Best of all, to keep everything safe and ensure a stable vape experience, the chipset integrates lithium battery protection, 8-second cutoff, atomizer detection, short circuit protection, and low voltage protection.
There are two different pods that are compatible with the Nfix Mate kit. The first is the included DC 0.8ohm MTL pod that features dual coils, high flavor production, and a 15-25W range. Or, use the included 0.8ohm mesh MTL pod with a single mesh heating element, a large surface area, and 10-15W of output for excellent vapor and flavor. Both of these are included with purchase and work well with high nicotine or standard vape juices. Finally, there's also an optional Nfix SC 1.0ohm pod with a single coil, intense flavor, strong throat hit, and output in the range of 15-25W.

Each Nfix Mate pod is designed to be ergonomic and the material is translucent, so you may keep an eye on the current juice level in the reservoir. The juice capacity comes in at 3mL which will last a long time since the Nfix Mate is a low wattage vape system. Most importantly, the pods feature powerful magnets to result in a tight connection to the mod. This ensures the pods never move around, yet they easily separate from the battery. As a bonus, there are also two silicone dust caps included which keep dust and impurities from entering the mouthpiece.

A clear 0.96in TFT display with changeable color themes takes care of all of your vaping data. The body material is apparently a flexible rubber coating which really reminds me of the Vaporesso Gen mods.

Lately, SMOK have launched their latest Thallo series which currently includes two vape mod pod kits. In this article we'll be covering the one named Thallo S, hope you'll like it.

SMOK Thallo S Kit has a grip that is made from high-quality leather for ergonomics and features beautiful patterns that we would call psychedelic and pleasing to the eye. The control face looks to have the same identical screen and battery level, current power output, atomizer resistance, and much more are shown in full-color for crystal clear viewing. Dual-adjustment buttons directly underneath the display make changing settings a breeze.The Thallo-S works with the same IQ-XS chipboard as the integrated battery version but features 100W of power for a more satisfying vape experience. This is because it uses a single external 21700 battery that has a whopping 5000mAh capacity for fewer recharges and longer vaping times. The cell is inserted into the mod by way of a bottom flip cover and, with a Type-C USB port, recharges are fast and safe. You can also use a 18650 type battery, but you'll need to insert an adapter sleeve into the bay. Another cool aspect of the Thallo-S chipset is that it has a power mode, so you may set the output anywhere between 1 and 100W and the firing response is also less than 0.001s, so vapor production is instant. A multitude of safety features ensure you stay safe while using this new pod kit.

The Thallo-S uses Thallo RPM 2 Pods, but is also compatible with Thallo RPM Pods, the details of the latter are yet to be published. Each Thallo RPM 2 Pod can hold 5mL of vape juice and features effortless refills. You can choose whether you want to use the setup as an MTL or DTL device by choosing which one of two coil options. Pre-installed is the 0.16ohm RPM 2 coil that works with standard e-liquids that have a nicotine strength below 6mg. This head fires in the range of 25 to 50W, but is best at 40W of power. Or, if you enjoy mouth-to-lung vaping with nicotine salt based e-liquid, you can easily swap out the coil with the included DC 0.6ohm coil that works between 12 and 25W and has a stricter airflow.
