TAKE ME DOWN by Carly Phillips is book two in The Knight Brothers Series. This is the story of Emily Stevens and Parker Knight. I have read the previous book, but feel you could make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Parker was once a promising skier but after a bad injury has settled to be a part of the family business. Which doesn't excite him and he just goes through the motions. When he is asked by the family to check out a resort in Colorado he goes forward to do so. When he ends up in a B&B run by Emily and her father he finds that Emily brings feelings out in him he hasn't felt in a while ...if ever. But Emily is guarded towards him and of curse is protective of her family business.
This was a great read...a page turner for me.
