COOKIE BUSTERS! by M F Smith
Cookie Busters! - M.F. Smith

ChiChi invites her friends over for dinner but had no time to make dessert. Teddy Bear wants dessert. Bunny does too. They see the cookie jar on a high shelf across the kitchen. Teddy devises a plan and they're off on their cookie hunt. Will they suceed?

This is adorable. It's more for early readers as there are more words and few pictures but your older toddlers might sit for it. It is exciting as the stuffed animals come up with and execute Teddy's plan to get the cookies. He also has learned by watching Mum how to get the cookies. This is a fun read with more story than most children's books.

HARRY THE HAPPY MOUSE by N. G. K.
Harry The Happy Mouse: Teaching Children To Be Kind To Each Other. - N K,Janelle Dimmett

Harry is a happy mouse because he helps others. On his walk, he helps a frog. The frog asks how he can repay him, and Harry tells him to help someone else. The frog does and helping others moves through the ones who have helped another. Seeing how it worked through others makes Harry happy.

I liked this story. I liked how Harry and each one after him helped someone else. I liked how they felt after helping. It makes a circle and Harry's wife shows him how his helping one animal then moved through the other animals. This story was fun. It rhymes. Your toddlers will enjoy the story and the illustrations. I look forward to more of Harry.

LESSONS FROM THE LION, THE OX, AND THEIR LITTLE FRIENDS by Aesop
Lessons from the Lion, the Ox and their little friends - Aesop,Ripple Digital Publishing

Four of Aesop's Fables starring the lion, the mouse, the ox(en), the ant, the grasshopper, and the frog.  I liked that the story is first followed by the adage it illustrates.  These are good stories and lessons to learn.  Your toddlers will enjoy them as well as your early readers.

BEEWITCHED by Julia Dweck
Beewitched - Julia Dweck

Cute story of Beetrice who loves bees so much she becomes one. She learns what is like to be a bee and needs rescued. But who will rescue her?

I enjoyed this story. It is bright and colorful. It is fun. It is imaginative. I learned what it takes to be a bee. I loved how anything to do with b was emphasized.

My only complaint is the dialogue is written in red which on a Kindle is hard to read especially if you are older.

I look forward to reading more of this author.

BIRDS FOR BEGGINERS: BIRDS OF NORTH AMERICA IN PICTURES by Pippa Cloverdale
Birds for Beginners: Birds of North America in Pictures - Pippa Cloverdale

Book of birds with characteristics and photos of the birds. I learned about some birds I had never heard about. I liked learning which birds were state birds as well as what were native species and which had been introduced to North America.

There were a few typos. I wish some of the photos would have been bigger. While seeing some of the birds in flight, I would have liked to see them at rest to get a better idea of what they looked like.

This is good for learning about the most common birds in North America and your back yard regardless of your age.
