Bare It All by Lori Foster
Bare It All - Lori Foster

This book and series is quick and dirty.

Do the leads fall in love too quickly?  Yes.
Does the action storyline have a touch of melodrama?  Yes.
Did I enjoy it?  Yes.

To me, Lori Foster and Stephanie Tyler write very similar books.  Personally, it seems I enjoy Stephanie Tyler more, there seems to be more depth of story.

This particular book I loved the beginning; great chemistry between the leads Alice and Reese.  However, the middle and even the end, feel repetitive, monotonous, and drag.  The main characters fall in love/hook up way to soon.  How about some sexual tension AND THEN the mind blowing orgasms, instead of "we introduced ourselves, he threw me on the bed, I came for days!"

Reading these books one right after the other is a problem too.  While it keeps my mind fresh on the reoccurring players, they start to run together because the storyline is all the same.  Don't get me wrong I like/enjoy the storyline but I don't watch Jason Statham* movies back-to-back either.  Have to carefully dole that stuff out ;)

Read if you like/need/want a wham-bam-thank you ma'am.

*Use to be Jean Claude Van Damme.  But the times, how they are a changing!

Comingout / druk 1: verhalen over vertellen wie je echt bent
Coming out: Verhalen over vertellen wie je echt bent - Nine Cornelissen,Miriam Van Damme My main problem with this little book: the stories are too short.Usually, I am very emotionally touched by this kind of stories, since I can connect quite well with many of them. It is then difficult for me to read them and I always have the urge to get up and go hug or comfort these poor guys and girls. The same is true for all those coming-out stories out there on youtube or television. However, not in this book. The stories are simply too short, too flat, to be very touching. Most (all but one?) stories have a happy ending, where we are sucked - in only a few pages time - from early crush to depression to coming-out to happiness and oh-my-god-life-is-so-good-now. It just doesn't work that way. By leaving out so many details, the stories lose a lot of their body and soul.It could have been so much better if only this book was larger, bigger, and more intense. On the plus side, the storytellers are very divers: male, female, old, young, famous, foreigners, transgender,...
