Please don't kill me if this is your favorite kid's book, 
For some unknown reason I never picked this book up as a kid i was more in to books like Wind In the Willow , Raggedy Ann, and so on . So here is my thoughts
Is it a new all time favorite or even a favorite : no
Will I ever read it again: yes 
Will I buy a physical copy : No i'll just keep the kindle on
Has it become one of my go to books : no 
Am I glad I finally picked it up after having it on my kindle for 2 years :yes
Basically is just a book I'll pick up every once in a while , and even though this is my first time reading it I can see why its a lot of people's favorite book.

Ah!  Great blend of fun, character to root for, and storyline.

Really enjoyed.  Originally much was published as online stories on author's webiste (many are still there for free), but did not read choppy or like short fiction.  There are more in the series but no longer in ebook form; I want to pursue the series but it may be a while before I can bring myself to buy the hardcovers.

She was cold, she was cranky, she was conflicted, and she knew the best way to deal with all three of these situations. She was going to hit somebody until they stopped hitting back.

Gotta love a Vincent Price reference.

The house was a crumbling old Victorian, the sort that was always occupied by Vincent Price in the black-and-white movies the cable access channels all showed at midnight.

Moose, who possessed all the heroic strengths and weaknesses of a moose. Also antlers and an inexplicable fondness for standing in the middle of highways destroying the cars of unsuspecting motorists.
