Fire War Book 1

“Man up,” he told himself. “Man up.” It was what his father always told him, and there was nothing more that he wanted than to be a man. So he took a deep breath, filling his nose with the scents of baseball and looked up to the sky, squinting a little.

It was a plane, not far from the blimp he noticed earlier; that was all. Nothing to be afraid of. A tiny sigh of relief escaped his lips as he saw the familiar shape outlined over his head, wings spread out against the sky.

It was the last thing he saw before the explosion ripped his small body apart with the force of a hundred suns. The quiet of thousands of lives extinguished in the blink of a second took over, disturbed only by falling rubble. The sun beat down again, hot and sticky, on what remained of Tom, his father, and all the others who had been unfortunate enough to be at Wrigley Field for the biggest game of the season."

Late in the 21st century, the United Continental States of America is running smoothly.

Unemployment has been eradicated, terrorism is no more, and any internal dissent diminishes by the day. Most give credit to President Meyers, and many can no longer remember the last election, but it is a small price to pay to keep the country safe from the terrorist group Hariq Jihad.

Things aren’t as they seem, however, as Gunnery Sergeant Anthony Jackson is conscripted into the personal security detail of President Meyers. While the only thing he places above his country is his family, he begins to feel that not everyone is content with how things are. Even more, he begins to fear for his oldest daughter’s life as she begins to question the eroding personal freedoms and democratic rights. Considering that entire families have disappeared over the slightest infraction, one cannot be too careful.

Torn between liberty and safety, family and country, can Jackson balance his loyalties, or will he be lead to an explosive collision with the system he has dedicated his life to serving? In this explosive and highly acclaimed dystopian political thriller novel, the world you live in will never look the same again!

Fire War II: Treason

Anthony Jackson, military veteran, member of the Presidential security team, father, husband, patriot and spy. His daughter safely recovered from a government detention centre, Jackson's role as a spy for the anti government Apocolyte group is firmly cemented. All he needs to do is keep his head down, do his job, and get intel back to his rebel handler. But as Jackson's suspicions about President Meyers are proven true, and the tasks he's asked to handle become more and more immoral, his loyalties are becoming strained.

Where is the line between truth and lie? Between loyal citizen and blind follower? Between right and wrong? And who gets to draw that line? The Apocolytes are growing stronger, but Meyers is too, and only one of them can be the bad guy. But which? Jackson needs to choose sides, and he needs to do it fast. But in the end only the biggest tragedy of them all can force his hand.

His life will never be the same, his family will never survive, and his ideals can be shattered or overturned. Assassinations are all part of the job, he's always dealt in lies and secrets. But now there's something much more personal on the line: vengeance. Saving the world from terrorists is no big deal, knowing who the terrorists are is the real trick.

Fire War III: Uprising

Anthony Jackson. Patriot. Spy. Widower. Still reeling after the death of his wife, Jackson is numbly training antigovernment troops. Confident that his role in political affairs has dwindled to being a glorified shooting teacher, Jackson is slowly trying to piece his heart back together. Until the call comes. The rebels are far from done with Jackson, and this time the promised reward is big and juicy: the Presidency.

As the world slowly falls apart, men fight and men die, and Anthony Jackson cannot simply watch. Something has to change, and someone has to change things, and deep down, Jackson knows that he's the only man that can do the job. But as cities fall, the eternal question continues to burn in his mind: just who can he really trust?

In a world of lies and secrets, where even the ones you love can betray you, Jackson must find right and justice. Only then can he lead the country that he loves. If he survives that long.

My Review
Wow what an awesome end to a really interesting storyline.
I really loved the main character of Mr. Jackson, all that he has happened to him, since the first book, and he hasn't gone crazy, is just a testament to him.
The president was even more cray, cray, in this book then the other two books if that's even possible. And Mr. Jackson and the President's relationship was very strange but very interesting. All that happened in this book with the deaths and what Jackson had to do to stop the President was very exciting and I thought was very fitting.
The book had a satisfying conclusion but also had away for the Author to visit these characters, again later down the road. And I would be excited if that were to ever happen. I also have to mention that I loved Jackson's two daughters and how different they were from one another.

Reading progress update: I've read 100%.
Fire War 11: Treason - Michael T. Murray

This one was better but a quicker read. I really felt bad for Mr. Jackson and what he went through in this book. The President was even worse in this book then the first one. A lot of things happened in this book for the length of this one compared to the first one.

I really enjoyed the two children of Mr. Jackson, and what happened at the end of the last book, to one of them was just sad. But also what made Mr. Jackson finally open up his eyes on exactly who the President is. As well as what the President is trying to do to are country. So the ending was full of action and gives us the readers, some answers that we might have had. I would definitely recommend this series to my family and friends.

What a Scary Book About what could happen to the United States.
Fire War (Fire War Trilogy Book 1) - Michael T. Murray

I really had the creeps when reading the book and when could happen here in the United States, if we had a President like the one in this book. The only reason the book didn't get a 4 or 5 rating is because it took along time to get exciting. It's so scary because you know that something like this could really happen. People disappear in this book with just a snap of a finger and it's in the middle of the freaking night, I mean whole families. Some come back but not as how they left. I thought Jackson was really blinded by the President and he knew something was up but just kept ignoring the signs. Until something happens and he has no choice but taking off his blinders. I am starting to like his wife Courtney more, but I think my favorite character is there older daughter Maya. Very interesting girl but she needs to be a little more secretive. I really wonder what's going to happen to her, Jackson, and the rest of the family. I have the next two books but I am going to take breaks in between each one. The last book I am Involved in a book tour for which isn't due up until the 29 of this month, so I have still have sometime before then. Again so far a very scary book that could very well happen in our future.

Reading progress update: I've read 153 out of 340 pages.
Fire War (Fire War Trilogy Book 1) - Michael T. Murray

Wow I would hate to live in that future, it's crazy because you have to get permission for going to a different state. The book I am not sure if I like it or not, it's definitely different, and the pledge of allegiance is very strange. So far I am not sure if I like any of the characters at all. Jackson the main guy character is ok, but so far he isn't really blowing me away. And the President of the United States is really creepy and I bet he's tyrant ( sorry if it's spelled wrong) as well. And I am not sure how I feel about Jackson's wife Courtney, I am not really liking her so far, so hopefully that will change.

I did feel bad for Jackson for something that he had to do, but he really had no choice in the matter.

Some accidents aren’t accidental…
My Review
The book started out full of mystery from the very beginning, with Skyler on his bike and getting hurt. I really liked Skyler and his mom a lot. I really felted bad for all he went through in this book. It held my attention because I wanted to find out if he would survive and if he did would he be his normal health self. I also wanted to know if his accident was really just that or if it wasn't an accident at all. And if someone was trying to kill him then for what reason. Very surprising outcome.
I really loved Laney and Josh a whole lot. Josh did drive me crazy because he wanted to do everything for Laney. Such as ordering her food for example, as well as her drinks, and so much more. Once Laney told him it was driving her nuts, he did try to tone it back.
Laney also has a stalker, that is very crazy that's for sure. The book did end in a cliffhanger, and somethings were tied up but other things might or might not have been tied up.
There is another book coming out very soon, and I really can't wait to find out what's going to happen next. So I will definitely be reading it, that's for sure.
