ONE SHINGLE TO HANG by Deann Smallwood
One Shingle to Hang - DeAnn Smallwood One Shingle to Hang - DeAnn Smallwood
Lil leaves her family in Denver to move to Chesterfield, Colorado, to open her own law practice. She's one of a handful of lady lawyers in the country. Before she has even opened for business she has her first two customers, one a local rancher accused of cattle rustling. She figures out a way to save him and ends up falling in love with Drew.

I loved this story. The characters are well defined. Lil is outspoken and feisty. Drew is a product of his times but he begins to see where he may be wrong. Around them they build a family but not a traditional one. The villains are hiss worthy. Her parents are a piece of work. I loved when she stood up to them. There is a subtle humor running below the surface. I felt happy while reading this. The only thing missing was a clear resolution on the rustling charge but it doesn't change the story or my feelings towards the tale.

Blizzard of Love, Erin Wright
Blizzard of Love: A Western Romance Nove... Blizzard of Love: A Western Romance Novella (Long Valley Book 2) - Erin Wright

I really enjoyed this Western Romance. I received this book as a gift and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* Rating. This was a fun short Christmas read. These two characters didn't know what hit them but soon found out about the time the storm hit. Lots going on in this, part of it Christmas fun and a silly dog. Not for the under 18 readers.

Awesome Read!!
Nothing But Trouble - a Western Romance - Lisa Mondello

Nothing But Trouble by Lisa Mondello is a great read.  This is a fairly short read, a great choice for those with limited time for reading.  Ms Mondello has delivered a well-written book.  The characters are fantastic and lovable.  Melanie is a sassy, feisty, diabetic zoologist.  Stoney is a sometimes rodeo bull rider and works the family ranch.  Trouble follows when Melanie hires Stoney to guide her into a month-long stay in the mountains.  There is plenty of action, drama, sizzle and suspense to keep any reader happy.  I totally enjoyed reading Nothing But Trouble and look forward to reading more from Ms Mondello soon.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read a free copy of this book that I received from Instafreebie.

Review: Down Home Cowboy (Copper Ridge #8) by Maisey Yates
Down Home Cowboy: A Western Romance Novel (Copper Ridge) - Maisey Yates

This Texas cowboy has come home to Copper Ridge to put down roots…but will he risk his heart again?

Asked where he'd be at this point in life, Cain Donnelly would have said anywhere but Copper Ridge, Oregon, living with his estranged brothers. But since his wife abandoned them, both he and his daughter, Violet, are in need of a fresh start, so he's back to claim his share of the family ranch. Local baker Alison Davis is a delicious temptation, but she's also his daughter's mentor and new boss. That makes her off-limits…until she offers a no-strings deal that no red-blooded cowboy could resist.

Alison has worked tirelessly to rebuild her life, and she won't jeopardize her hard-won independence. Especially if it also complicates Cain's relationship with Violet. But with Cain offering a love she never thought was possible, Alison has to find the courage to let her past go…or watch her future ride away for good.

3 ½ ★

This is the 8th book in the Copper Ridge series but it can be easily read as a standalone. I have not read any of the previous books and did not feel like I missed something. Which is always good. Most know, that I enjoy Cowboy books among Rockstar and Hockey books , when it comes to romance books, so it was really way to like this book. This was the first book I read by Maisey Yates but I plan on reading more of her books. I liked the writing style it had a nice flow to it and was easy to follow and get lost in. I did enjoy the story and the characters for the most part, some parts were a bit annoying but nothing major that made me want to stop reading. I l liked the back story of the characters and it made us really see why they are the way they are. While most of the story was easy to predict it still was very enjoyable to read. I enjoyed all the side characters as well even if I did not know that from the precious books. I thought they had just the right amount of page-time not too much or little. Overall. Great read and looking forward to read more by this author.

I rate it 3 ½ ★

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Maisey Yates lives in rural Oregon with her three children and her husband, whose chiseled jaw and arresting features continue to make her swoon. She feels the epic trek she takes several times a day from her office to her coffee maker is a true example of her pioneer spirit. In 2009, at the age of twenty-three Maisey sold her first book.

Since then it’s been a whirlwind of sexy alpha males and happily ever afters, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Maisey divides her writing time between dark, passionate category romances set just about everywhere on earth and light sexy contemporary romances set practically in her back yard.

She believes that she clearly has the best job in the world.

Undaunted: A Western Romance Novel (Long, Tall Texans)
Undaunted: A Western Romance Novel (Long, Tall Texans) - Diana Palmer Garrett Carlton is a cynic with a knack for making money, but not a lot of heart. Kate Martin is an optimist. Despite the many heartaches her young life has endured, she takes pride in the lessons she's learned. Her heart is big, but her pockets are lacking. When these opposites collide it's life - changing. An accident brings them together, but will it also tear them apart? Undaunted is a story of compassion and forgiveness. It takes a little while to get to the reward but the pathway leading there is worth the bumps and bruises. It's stories like this that have kept me a fan of Ms. Palmer's for years. She entertains, teaches and speaks to the heart.
