Invitation to a Beheading
Einladung zur Enthauptung - Vladimir Nabokov,Dieter E. Zimmer

I am a bit torn here, because I love the concept, the idea, the language and the implications on an intellectual level, but do I love Nabokovs execution of it all? (To be clear, I am not talking about the execution of his protagonist, but of the actual novel)

Not so much.

Booklikes-opoly Final
Seven from the Stars - Marion Zimmer Bradley

I must say that was much better then some of the stuff I've read by Bradley.

Apparently we have parallel evolution or something going here.

7 humans crash land on earth and have to help save it from interdimensional parasitic aliens.

Seven from the Stars - Marion Zimmer Bradley

I was gifted 2 extra rolls from the Wheel Decide:

Rolled 3: 27. Read a book that features a hero's journey or is a bildungsroman (coming of age tale) or that has a word related to space in the title, such as star, planet, rocket)

It was a toss up between Seven From the Stars and Bill the Galactic Hero by Harry Harrison.  I don't think I'm in the mood for Mr. Harrisons brand of weirdness at the moment, so we go with Ms. Bradleys more serious story.

Fun read filled with danger, heat, and humor.
King's Ransom - BT Urruela,Marion Zimmer Bradley
This took a bit for me to get into, but I loved how there was a parallel to Dimitri's life as he noticed Annalise. The pull was strong between them, even with all the negative influence in their lives. This was an up and down journey, and I enjoyed it all the way.

I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
