Story of a very troubled family in Appalchia. 19 year old harley is trying to keep his family together after his mother is imprisoned for murdering his father. Harley's sisters Amber, Misty, and Jodi, all have serious psychological problems. This diturbing story is incredibly well written.

i read sister mine in one day, it goes down that easy, not that there is much "pleasant" about it. i like o'dell's imagery, even if some of the characters were rather stock.
