Another cracking yarn about Captain Matthew Reddy and his crew and compatriots. There are moments when things go slowly but they are few and far between. Anderson gets kudos for using a Natural disaster to tie up multiple threads of Plot. A fun well executed pleasure.

Taylor Anderson really comes into his own with this fourth volume the first in a new Destroyermen "trilogy". Gone are the problems I had with earlier books with interior monologues rambling too far and slowing the plot. Instead the monologues drive the plot and show the creativity of the Destroyerme...

this would be 4 stars if not for an annoying habit of the author early on in his books in this series. He falls prey to telling not showing, particularly in inner monologues showing what his characters are thinking. Also he has a great deal of military minutia he wishes to share and uses the monolog...
