The year is 2009. Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors – it’s just harm...

If you take a lesser version of The Time Traveler's Wife add teenagers and secret government agencies, you would get something that highly resembled Julie Cross's debut novel Tempest. I had high expectations for this book since the synopsis reminded me so much of The Time Traveler's Wife. Even witho...

So this is one of the first times I've read a book this fast and rated it this 'low'. It was nice to read, but I kind of missed some depth in the storyline. Something bad happened and 3 pages later it was alright again. I also have difficulty with a male main character, but that's probably because I...

I really wanted to love this book, but I just couldn't get into it. Jackson jumps around so much, it made it hard for me to remember when he was, even with the date and time posted at the start of every chapter. I found myself constantly going back to see the date. Once I got past the halfway point,...

Tempest starts off with a bang and never slows down! Its such a unique book and I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy it. I always like books about time travel and each has its own characteristics that sets itself apart from others. Julie Cross has impeccable writing and ‘eye’ for detail, which I ...

Sentence: I sentence Julie Cross to inheriting the tempest gene so she can go back and make the beginning of her debut novel as interesting as the end.Review: I have to admit, this was really hard to get into. Getting into Cross' version of time travel was a little bit annoying because half time-tra...

Full review here. I did a roller coaster type thing with this one. I liked this one quite a bit, then I didn't really care much. Then it happened again. I really did like the male POV in this book, and I liked the end in an irritated, annoyed way. It made me want to read the next one! :o)

Jackson Meyer is our time traveler hero, who knows about of his ability, but not quite aware of the extent to which he can it. In this story, time travel as Jackson knows it, does not affect the future. He could jump (or travel through time) half an hour into the past, make a big change, then come b...

19-year-old Jackson Meyer discovers that he can travel through time, albeit only a few hours and with no effect on his present. This changes however when two mysterious men attack Jackson’s girlfriend, Holly, and Jackson finds himself stuck two years in the past, unable to get back. All Jackson want...
