Normally I love Sarah Dessen books, but this one was just lacking. Nothing really happened. So, while it was still well written it just didn't have that draw her other books have had on me.

This is such a cute book that definitely tugs at your heart strings! I was expecting more of a love story, but it's more of finding one's self and dealing with all the crazy stuff that life throws at you. I was totally okay with that though because the writing is really great and I was pleasantly su...

I have never not adored a Sarah Dessen book before. You think Dessen and you think cheesy, romantic, chick-lit to make you squeal and blush and giggle and wish you were in the book. That has been my previous experience with every Dessen book I have ever read. But this? This was something entirely di...

To be completely frank. I expected so much from this book only to be disappointed. I expected a book with more depth and a better plot. Okay, so there wasn't much of a plot. I've read other books that were equally plotless but this one I didn't like much at all. It lacked everything I wanted in a co...

I was so disappointed with this book but I guess that’s why this is her first book. What I don’t like about this book is that Haven doesn’t fall in love with someone. I thought she would find someone-anyone to go out with like in all of her other books but nothing like that happens. Also that the mes...

It was good, but it isn't ever going to be my favorite by Dessen. Haven's having a hell of a fraught summer: her father's second wedding, her older sister's wedding, her best friend becoming boy crazy, and she's getting taller by the minute practically. Haven just needs a chance to grow into, to ful...

This was different from the other Dessen books I have read. And not in a bad way. In fact, I was so surprised on how different that I kept waiting for the romance. There wasn't one. This was purely a coming of age novel. And it was a great story.Haven is dealing with a lot. Like growing to be really...
