This book was just alright. I was slightly disappointed as I have had this book recommended to me by countless people so I did expect better. I felt it could have been condensed to a quarter of its size easily. The book was also written in the 80s and I could easily tell (personally, I feel it's in n...

You say this book is great? Tell me the 7 habits. Can't remember? Neither can I. Covey was great at marketing, but this is not deep thinking about life or business. It's junk food.

Good information on becoming a successful person. Covey covers habits that can help anyone in either their personal or professional life. The only issues I have with the book is the use of metaphors, anecdotes, and the over-all verbosity. I would have appreciate the book more as a tool if he had kep...

This book convinced me that self help books can be perfect case studies for Texas Sharp Shooter Fallacy. But on the whole, it is written well and gets an extra star for some original ideas later copied by many self help guides!

You know what Highly Effective People don't do? They don't read books by motivational speakers. If you need a pep rally to get you go, you're doing it wrong.

This book is about both personal and professional development. It is not a self-help book in the lines of "The Alchemist" or "The Secret", thank goodness for that. As such, this book is pretty much stating the obvious, once you sit down and think about the principles and theories it explains in an a...
