I read Rage and The Long Walk. Very violent and depressing. I didn't care for them. They were well-written but as any who know me, I don't do depressing pleasure reading. I'm glad that King's style has changed.

I actually only read The Long Walk, but I'm intruiged by descriptions of The Running Man. I'm not sure what to say about it; it was compelling, definitely, but I was a little dissatisfied with the ending. This is a great collection of early Bachman stories written by Stephen King: Rage, The Long Walk, The Running Man, and Roadwork. I've reviewed them all separately, and some I've liked more than others, but still, in my profession and expert opinion, it's hard to go wrong with King. ;)
