by Chad P. Brown This was a fairly typical story about a girl exploring a haunted house on a dare and braving the basement. It's a short and mostly predictable, but there were a couple of interesting surprises and it was written well. Nothing overly special about it, but I did enjoy it.

I think another goodreads reviewer nailed it when she called this short story "cheesy". I can add that I found the writing to be typical and, although, not amateurish, nothing that really stands out. It is what it is...something that is easily forgettable once it is read. It simply had no substance ...
