OH MY GOSH! What an amazing book! I have only praise for this book!Violet has a secret power, or curse, depending on who you ask. Dead and murdered things, being animals or humans, call out to Violet, and she can find them if she follows the ‘echo’. When she senses a murdered girl in a lake, the cha...

The Body Finder is a fun read with a really different and interesting premise. I was completely engrossed (including staying up too late) until the end. Plus, I LOVED the relationship with Violet and Jay. Unlike all the creepy uneven relationships that are dominating YA right now those two are on eq...

A YA Paranormal without some of the usual pitfalls. This is a rather sweet, romantic tale with some healthy doses of creepy thrown in for good measure. I'd say the romance aspect got equal page time to the murder mystery, but as romances go, it was rather endearing. The main characters, Violet and Ja...

I fell in love with Kimberly Derting earlier this year and decided I had to give her Body Finder series a go. I am so glad I did. I didn't stop smiling the whole way through. Never have a read a story that is so captivating in its contradicting emotions. 'The Body Finder' follows Violet Ambrose, a t...

3.5.Very intriguing story, about this 16-year old girl, Violet, who has the ability to sense the dead, specifically those who have been murdered. She has this 'sensor' in her, which she can smell, hear or feel the imprints of the dead and the killers.Pretty useful stuff for the cops. It's very inter...

2.5 really. I mean, it was better than Twilight, at moments quite good, but not really worthwhile. There were times when the writing was straight out of Sweet Valley High, including the weird fat-shaming that ran through all those books. Other times the author beautifully, vividly captured the feeli...

Multihued light radiated up from beneath the water, centered among the reeds, and then diffusing outward as it reached the surface. Violet had never seen anything like it, and she knew that the spectrum of light was defying its very nature by behaving in that way.It could only be one thing. There was...

Very clever premise, different than anything else I've read. Loved all of the tension between Violet and Jay, loved the killer's POV and especially loved the progression of the relationship between Violet and Jay. A fantastic read. I'm starting the second one immediately.
