Before you continue reading, my review might contain a spoiler or two. Mainly those I find pointless. The reason I wanted to read this book is because I'm an avid journalist, in the most write-my-own-personal-journals-diligently-for-over-ten-years way. As soon as I saw a book about a magical journal ...
Usually, there's a lot to learn from a book by [a:Cecelia Ahern|7116|Cecelia Ahern|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1404703770p2/7116.jpg]. Normally, it's about loving people, making time for what's important etc. From that perspective, this book was a disappointment. It felt like she was trying to t...
I read PS I Love You and was enchanted. Unfortunately, this book was not as well fleshed out as the other.Tamara is a spoiled brat whose father's suicide leaves her penniless. Her mother is depressed and catatonic and refuses to leave the room of her uncle's house, where they are now staying. Tam...

It's a book about secrets, and of finding the truth, which doesn't turn out to be anything you expect it to be half way throughout the book. It's a good ending. And I fee...

Here's the something: I didn't believe in the characters. I didn't believe that Tamara was an actual 16-year-old girl; she felt more like an adult's IDEA of a 16-year-old girl, one that was trying too hard to fit into that mold of "stuff teenagers like" (big hair, The Ting Tangs, Facebook) and it a...
I wasn't going to finish this one, but I decided to stick with it and about half way through it got pretty good. I'm glad I stuck with it because the end wasn't really what I expected at all. Not the best book I've read (or listened to in this case) but I liked it.
