Yes, I bought another Lovecraft anthology with the same stories I already have. But THIS one has a crappy 3D cover! How awesome is that?

Cindy, you're my favorite!Lovecraft can be silly, racist, and extremely purple, but he has this terrifically unique imagination: his stories feel like nothing else. And they're very enticing. There's a certain feel to his stories - a pallid green glow - a whole collection of words like "eldritch" - ...

Madness is just around the corner in Lovecraft’s world. The dark deeps hide a reality that humanity cannot comprehend. Nor should try. This collection of short stories have some of Lovecraft’s best known stories. His writing is best in the shorter stories. He is able to maintain suspense and a ...

I rather enjoyed this story...Summary taken form Wikipedia: The story is presented as a manuscript "found among the papers of the late Francis Wayland Thurston, of Boston". In the text, Thurston recounts his discovery of notes left behind by his granduncle, George Gammell Angell, a prominent Prof...

This, along with At The Mountains of Madness, are my Lovecraft favourites. During my "dark period" I bought several of his books and it never ceased to impress me how he came up with his own "chantic" to summon Cthulhu. The text in this book is good, but it was not what I was expecting. A short story - Cthulhu introduction - after which probably I'll take next book from H.P.L. and search form more Cthulhu. I hope next ones will be at least 4 of 5 stars.

This collection of short stories was very hit or miss. Some of them gripped you and didn't let go until the end, while others just seemed to drag on forever. However, the common element of the cult of Cthulhu was a great one. Definitely worth reading for anyone with a love of sci fi and fantasy.

Dagon: Excellent, but way too short. The Sci-Fi Channel movie "Dagon" was NOT based on this story. The Statement of Randolph Carter: Also excellent. HP can create more terror in 7 pages than most people in 700 pages.Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and His Family: Very good. I expected the end...
