Fun book! Who wouldn't love a book about an "portly" Indian detective? I felt like I was right there in the middle of Delhi. You can smell the food, the people, the animals. Puri is a wonderful Hercule Poirot like detective. There are laugh out loud moments. Great start to a new series. Final verd...

Debut mystery set in India. Enjoyed the characters and look at the different regions of India.

Really very cute, I can see why some are comparing it to the "No. 1 Ladies detective Agency." Unfortunately Puri is not as likeable as Precious. Puri in many ways reminds me of Agatha Christie's Perot. Really interesting look at modern India. This book will appeal to those who are trying to unde...
