In today’s world, self-centeredness is dominating our lives, greed is an accepted trait. We are constantly chasing happiness, thinking that it is hidden in material possessions, or it may show itself in the next big promotion we might get. Although when this new thing or possibility of advancement does not come through, we feel that our awaited reward has been denied to us. When it does happen though, and we finally got what we wanted, our enjoyment for some reason disappears and after a while we fall back again to our unhappy self. As the result we accept this cycle as "Life". However it doesn’t have to be this way, we can indeed take control of our own lives and live in harmony and contentment. As I was living my life in discord, with prolonged periods of unhappiness, just as many of us do in this world I wanted to know why? What is the reason and how could I change the course of my path? In order to get my answers, I searched through religions, spiritual teachings, and scientific conclusions. What I kept finding are a few simple truths, which I will share with you in this book. These basic understandings may bring you the key to discover your own self and help you to find your long lost happiness.
