This book is when I first fell in love with the writings of Philippa Gregory...I had already read The Other Bolyn Girl...but this to me was my absolute favorite book of hers until I read The Queen's Fool.

I gave this book 3 stars--so, I liked it. I would have rated it higher if she had edited some of the parts where she tended to ramble on and expand on the parts that seemed to begin and end abruptly. The Constant Princess is the story of Katherine of Aragon aka Catilina, Infanta of Spain and her be...

This was a good story about Queen Katherine of England. It was interesting to follow-up "The Other Boleyn Girl" with this, as it's actually earlier in history; the story of how Catalina/Katherine became queen leading up to when the Boelyn's changed her world. I really, really enjoyed this book. I know absolutely nothing about the Tudor era, but this series of books was recommended to me (because I mentioned to a friend I was interested in reading about Marie Antoinette, she thought I might like this series as well). This time, PG takes on Katherine of Aragon, and turns her into a schemer and liar, with long paragraphs of dull prose. I didn't much care for this one either, and simply could not see Henry VII lusting after his daughter-in-law with plenty of groping. Not to mention having Henry VIII being a not too...

In all the TV, film and media, you see Katherine as the old wife that tried to hold on to her marriage. This book put her in entire different light, and I Loved it. Her Romance with Arthur was so tragic but very beautiful. I never pitied Katherine of Aragon until I read this book. Very Good, 5 Stars
