MAJOR SPOILERS, BE WARNEDStrider the keeper of Defeat has come across as kind of a dick, which he can’t help because of his demon he has to come on top always even if that means fighting with his friends. He has lusted after the Harpy Kaia but has been unkind to her, because he knows she has been wi...

How sad is it that I forgot I finished this yesterday. It's been a while since I've read this series, so trying to keep up with Strider and Kaia was difficult. I found I wasn't all that into them. Paris is the next book and I can tell now that I won't be into him and Sienna either. I will just be rea...

I have never had an author push a character so far down my throat like Showalter pushes Harpies in the Lords of the Underworld Series (LOTU). Oh – I take that back! Her 'pushing’ rivals Alan Ball’s push of Bill Compton to those of us who have read the books inspiring True Blood. But I digress.Unles...

I knew Strider was going to get to me, I just knew it! What took me by surprise was the effect that Kaia had on me. She literally broke my heart in this one. Who knew a Harpy could make my heart crumble, especially one as ruthless as Kaia seemed to be?Strider fought his feelings for Kaia from the st...

Oh Gods...this was, by far, my FAVORITE book of this series. So. Freaking. Good.I loved Strider and Kaia separate, and together they're even more amazing! Almost a hundred pages into Paris' book, and even that tortured soul can't compare to my love of this book.
