This book was crazy. I couldn't even imagine being in the situation that Mr. King was in. It would be an absolute nightmare. I think I must be a lesser person because I have a hard time seeing myself doing what he tried to do for his wife. Each character really brought an interesting element to ...

Talk about a dysfunctional family. I swear, every character you meet in this book is a nutjob. I recently rented the movie from Amazon Instant Video, and since the service gives me 30 days to start watching it I figured that would give me plenty of time to read the book since it has been in my to-re...

This book surprised me. Recommended by a friend I didn't think it would be my thing but the plot sounded interesting enough. I'm very glad I did. It's a quick easy read but wow it makes an impact. The wife of Matt King lies in a coma from a boat racing accident. Meanwhile he must decide on selling off a land inheritance that will effect all his living relatives. The Descendants is both poignant and funny, as Matt wrestles with being the parent-in-charge; carrying out his wife's last wish to b...

As I look back at my choice of buying this book, I think that I made an odd and pretty out of character decision when I purchased this book. This is a book about a father trying to understand his teenage and his ten-year-old daughters. Definitely not my usual thing, if I have a thing when it comes...
