I wanted to give this 3.5 stars. I was hooked in the story, but the ending was disappointing; after giving so many details in the book, the end leaves us hanging.

Oh, ICK, UGH, PUKE! I am sooooo done with Greg Iles FOREVER! This thing is trash. I couldn't even give it my customary 50 to 80 pages that I usually allow a book before deciding whether or not to continue.

An excellent thriller...maybe a little more thrilling than I really like. However...what appalls me is not anything in the book, but the people reviewing it who are clearly more upset about the dog-fighting than about the abuse of women.
