I enjoyed the movie, so I picked up the paperback when I saw it for $1 at a used bookstore, figuring it'd be a fun light read. It was a fast weekend read to be sure, but unexpectedly depressing and far less charming than Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep played it out.
