This is a remarkably broad topic for a picture book to tackle, but I think they've done a nice job. I like that the books starts with prehistory and that Columbus doesn't pop up until well over half-way through the narrative. This book serves as a nice overview/preview of the various expeditions to ...
This is exactly the time period of the Americas that I cover with my students, so this book is a delightful resource. I especially appreciate the images of Beringia, and of the earliest Americans learning to plant crops.
