by Laurence Yep, illustrated by Kam Mak I remember reading this book as a kid. It's a good retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I love the full page illustrations, but sometimes wish the words had accompanied the pictures.
A very nice Beauty and the Beast variant - familiar, but also unique enough to be surprising and satisfying.
