Poe wakes up to life in a lab. He is a droid created at Psi-Gen. His purpose: abduct and replace humans with look-alike droids. He not only learns how to perfectly infiltrate human society, but he also begins to develop the personality of an 11-year-old boy…which can lead to trouble.Poe's first mission: infiltrate a school and replace the human named Mr. Jackson with a look-alike droid named Xavier-Eight. After snatching Principal Jackson, he returns to the Lab and discovers that he has a second duty--to transfer the data from a human brain to a droid brain. In the process problems arise as Poe learns a lot about himself and the human mind. After he returns Xavier-Eight to the school, a dangerous problem occurs; Xavier-Eight's chipboard stops functioning while trying to overwrite Principal Jackson's moral code. Can Poe fix the problem and maintain his cover as a boy? Even if he succeeds, Poe has begun to realize that there is much more at stake as he begins to have a curiosity all his own. It’s just too easy for Psi-Gen to erase a droid’s mind, and Poe might be next on their list.
