A retelling of The Princess and the Pea. Loved it! A really nice story - I loved the heroine's sense of humor/intelligence and the hero had many sides. Both characters were well-rounded. Recommend it highly.
This book reminds me of why I love Eloisa James as an author!Olivia, introduced to us in the novella "Winning the Wallflower" (friend of the wallflower, Lucy) is engaged to be married to a duke-to-be, currently a marquess. But Rupert is not only 5 years younger than Olivia, he's... not quite all the...
I enjoy the light, almost tongue-in-cheek writing in this series, but this wasn't my favorite entry. I found it very difficult to suspend disbelief in a few places, which chucked me right out of the story.
Oh the anguish, this story was depressing, degrading and not at all like her previous books. Olivia Lytton, is one of the most despicable heroines. She has been engaged since childhood to a Duke who has some mental issues. She can't stop herself from calling him names and laughing about him. She was ...

Cecilia's review on Goodreads says it all. Not a pleasant read, and I didn't get very far into the book before deciding that this one I did not want to finish.

Yeah, that kinda happened with The Duke Is Mine.I had never read anything by Eloisa James before and seriously, her writing is really good, at least for the first half of the book. Afte...
This one was a little boring. There was so much unnecessary dialogue, and the story just didn't move forward quick enough. The H/h didn't get enough 'tension time,' in my opinion. I wasn't sure even at the end what it was that drew them to one another. They didn't seem to retain their original p...
