I have to be honest: I've never read any of Dan Brown's works, so I can't comment on how "The Eight" compares to "The Da Vinci Code". I still somewhat enjoyed "The Eight," though. It had an interesting premise, wonderful writing, and even quoted the Bible. At the same time, though, there was righ...
This book is an eyeopener to new wonders of imagination. Neville is a wonderful storyteller, she made you think more about what happened before and the possibility of the event to happen again. I love the Eight. One has to read in between the lines to know the story being told. Thank you Katherine.
There were times when the apparatus of this book overwhelmed the story, but the concept was really interesting and it was cool, if unlikely, to have all those historical characters cross paths over some weird mystical artifact. I'll be reading the sequel. The woman who read the audio version was rea...
It is very rare that I do not finish a book, but sometimes it just has to happen. This was the case with The Eight. I was very draw to the cover art and its description, but the characters and the plot just fell short for me. I can honestly say that I gave this book a try by putting it down and comi...
I started this book before Christmas, and loved it, However I had to return it to the library before I was done with it. I am waiting to get it back (in the holds list) so that I can finish it.

My only complaint would be the fact that there is so much build up and anticipation to all the major struggles that take place throughout the book, but when the struggles actually ...
Excellent book. So much going on. There is a great mystery. She uses flashbacks quite well. I was reminded of this book when I attempted to read The Da Vinci Code (couldn't make it through that one) and went back to re-read it. Came out 10-15 years before the Da Vinci code and, imo, is 10-15 t...
