Not illustrated. 1741 Excerpt: ...and relict of Edward Bellot, of Morton, in Cheshire, Esq; but by her he had no issue. He was succeeded in dignity and estate by his third, but eldest surviving son, Sir John Anderson, Bart, who married Elizabeth, daughter of Hugh Snawscll, of Bilton, in the Anesty of the city of of York, Esq; and had issue Sir Edmund, his successor; and four daughters, Elizabeth, married to Collins, of St. Martin's in the Fields, in Westminster, Esq; Catherine, married to Thompson, Esq; Mary, to--Vesey, of Oxfordshire, Esq; and Frances, who died unmarried. Sir John, dying March 1670, was succeeded by his only son, Sir Edmund Anderson, Bart, who died whilst at the university, unmarried, 17 Dec. 1676, whereupon the title and estate came to his uncle, Sir Edmund, fourth son of Sir Edmund, the first baronet. Which Sir Edmund Anderson, Bart, had two wives (a), I. Mary, daughter and coheir of William Cox, of Porters, in Shenley parish, in Hertfordshire, Esq; by whom he had William who died young; Edmund, who married Carr, daughter and heir of John Shaw, of Lincolnshire, Esq; and died Sept. 17, 1685, without issue; and Mary, who died young. Sir Edmund's second lady, was Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Anthony Deane, of London, Knt. by whom he was father of the present Sir Edmund; and two daughters, Elizabeth, married to Stephen Croft, of Stillington, in Yorkshire, Esq; and Susan, who died an infant. Sir Edmund Anderson, the present baronet, his successor in title and estate, took to wife (Z), Mary, daughter of William Harvey, of Rolls, in the parish of Chigwell, in Essex, Esq; (by (c) Dorothy, his wife, daughter of Sir Robert Dicer, of UphaU, in Hertfordshire, Bart.) and hath issue (d) two sons, Edmund, and William; and three daughters, Elizabeth, married to Henry Brewster, of Aldby, i...
