I read this a couple of years ago and I remember really loving it. I'm definitely going to reread this one.

Wonderful mystery. I love the Grimm's Fairytales and this is a exciting new take on those beloved tales. Sabrina and Daphne are quite a pair and the cast of characters leaves one truly satisfied with the first book and desperately waiting for the next book!

Appealing notion, but the writing and characterization were not strong enough to hold my interest. Maybe if I were ten... Although even then I'm not sure, because none of the characters really appealed to me. The orphaned kids discovering special magical heritage has been done a lot better.

4/16/11 (later) ** The final 2/3 of the fairy-tale mystery brought if from a 3-star to a 4-star. End of ...

Before I go on to grouse about how I didn't *love* this book I have to state for the record that my seven year old daughter declared this her favorite read aloud of all time. I felt about this like I felt about books like [b:The Lightning Thief|28187|The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olymp...

What a fun story! I think if you love the Shrek movies then you'd get a kick out of this series. It was really enjoyable to read about all the different fairy-tale characters, especially the ones that had assimilated into the human world. And I have to say that I didn't figure out what was going on ...

didn't get to read all of it, cuz my sister had to return it to the library. heehee. >< it seemed okay so far, but i felt like it was trying a little too hard to be all funny and charming ... idk. it was like wannabe-series of unfortunate events. like, the whole writing a gloomy story in a funny to...
