I didn't particularly like Nynaeve's point of view, which dominated the book. Although what happened with Birgitte seemed have to changed her mind, it didn't really seem like a clean break at all. In fact, she just was sulky for a few days. She was extremely important at the end, but I could have do...
Starting the next reread. This was always my favorite book...I think I read it like, 4 different times during high school. But I haven't read it since the 90s, so we'll see...Update: Okay, so all the stuff I remember loving apparently happened in book 4 and presumably book 6. I don't even know. A...
Not up to the level of the first Four books, but Still a Quality Installment The Fires of Heaven is a good quality installment in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, however it doesn't rise to the level the first four books of the series. The narrative changes from the Aiel Waste headed west and...
Ok time to say something clever again, 5th book, all almost 1000 pages it seems. It just gets harder to harder to review this series, not to mention since I have already read it before too.Starting to like good old Rand again but Mat is still such a favorite. I like the memories in his head and how ...
As seen on Stumptown Books. This is the first Wheel of Time book I'm giving less than 5 stars to. The story here starts to become repetitive and tedious, and for the first time, I was annoyed at certain narrators. Many groans ensued whenever it came time for their point of view.Because I didn't feel ...
Wow. Jordan may ramble unnecessarily often but man does he kill at cliffhangers!! All the sleepiness that the first 3/4th of the book brought, was erased utterly by the action packed finale! So many familiar characters died! I CANNOT wait to read the sequel. And that is the highest praise I can give...
*spoilers*Well I just don't know what to say!! This series is great and just leaves you wanting to know more. I'm glad there are plenty more books for me to read!! I still love Nynaeve! I think she will be my favorite character until the end! Rand is just getting crazier but I suppose that is too be...
The story is certainly getting better. I was having trouble putting this book down and am really enjoying watching these characters evolve. Jordan is weaving one very complicated tale! I am so intrigued to read the rest of the series now. It is wonderful to see a series that has such strong femal...
I've really enjoyed this series so far, but I have to say, this is the first book in the series that seemed to drag and was a little disappointing in some ways. I still liked it. It's just not as good as the previous ones. I definitely could have done without the circus thing.
