Neil Laverty has everything he wants. He's become an overnight sensation in the Vancouver art scene, he's looking at buying a new home, and he's got more money than half-finished canvasses kicking around. That's when his agent calls to tell him his long-estranged and slightly kooky uncle Seamus has left him a big inheritance. A 500 acre inheritance, in fact. And that's how city-boy Neil finds himself heading out to the backwoods of Canada to a ranch where there's no cell service, spotty internet, and a lot of bugs.Lucky for him, the ranch foreman Steve Visser isn't just easy on the eyes, he's also up for a little no-strings-attached fun. Plus, there's lots of space for Neil to paint. Things should be good. But that's when the local RCMP constable informs Neil that the RCMP are starting to think that maybe Seamus didn't die from a fall, that maybe he was pushed. And that's when the trouble really starts.
