Of the many fascinating things I learned in this biography, the Doctor Who fan in me cannot but be most diverted to discover that Tom Baker used to spend his nights out clubbing, getting the security guards to let him into the studio at 4 am, and sleep there until it was time for work.

Sadly, this is mostly a run-through of names and productions from the British entertainment industry which non-British readers will find very hard to follow. Of course there are bits and pieces in between that provide insights into Stephen's private life and/or personality in just as funny and witty...

In the foreword Stephen apologises for using so many pages for so short a period of time but in my hardback edition the type is so enormous that this is practically a large print book. That I would have liked it to be longer is, I suppose, a compliment, but I also felt that there was a lot of filler...
