Unabridgedblurb - Joe Lassiter is an ex-FBI investigator whose sister and young nephew have been murdered. In his quest for revenge he learns of a discovery that has alarmed the Vatican so much that they have charged a right-wing fundamentalist hit-squad to destroy all evidence of it.
This was just OK for me...it wasn't really what I was expecting and a lot slower paced than I usually like for this type of story. I saw quite a bit of it coming ahead of time, although the end "why" behind it all did surprise me. It wrapped up quickly and a little bit too easily, thought.
This is my absolute favorite of all of John Case's books. My mom even loved it, and she's hard to please!I'm just waiting to forget the story so I can read it again!
