Most people will here this title and think its some girly girl meg cabot like book. I also thought it was some princess fairy tale. But then i read it, and this book was nothing like i imagined it would be, but it was so sweet and perfect and i absolutely loved it.
First published on: Books for YABefore I can give my review, I would like to confess that I have never read nor heard the fairytale, the Goose Girl of the Grimm Brothers so I don't have any idea whatsoever about the difference of this book to the original. Which I think, it wouldn't matter but I fee...
I will never be able to thank the friend who introduced me to Shannon Hale three years ago deeply enough. At first I thought titles like “Goose Girl” and “Princess Academy” sounded stupid, and brushed off any attempts to get me to read either. Then one day I was at the library and decided I would fi...
I really should thank the person who told me I ought to give the Books of Bayern a go -- if only I could remember who that was! Somehow, from one of my reviews, they figured out my reading preferences to the letter. Yes, The Goose Girl was most definitely right up my reading alley. I have always enj...

The Goose Girl shows up on a couple "best fairy tale retelling" lists, so I went and grabbed it. The quote on the cover from Stephanie Meyer ...
… And they lived happily ever after, *le sigh.* Reading Goose Girl is a breath of fresh air especially after the types of books I’ve been reading lately. It did take me a while to warm up to Ani. She was an absofreakinglute doormat…even the geese bruised her up! I could not get my mind around how pi...
