i realized after finishing my review of the hippopotamus by stephen fry, that i'd read a novel by his best friend, and sometime partner-in-crime, hugh laurie. when i read this book i was impressed that laurie was not only a good actor, but a good writer too. thoroughly enjoyable little book.

I gave this one the old college try, and had I read the dead-paper version, I might have finished and had a better opinion. The audio book dragged on and on. . . though funny sometimes, it was mostly dated, mostly boring.
