*Genre* New Adult, Vampires*Review* 4.0*Full Review shortly*I was shockingly impressed with this story. I absolutely adored Katie's determination and the fact that she's a rebel in a community of Amish. I think this is the first Amish story I've read in a very long time that I didn't yawn my way thr...

It was definitely interesting reading about this Amish community threatened by vampires. Maybe I will come back to write a bit about the book but since I liked it (although did not love it) I'll just say it is a nice read.

Review also posted at Ja čitam, a ti?Remember the days when the vampires were the creatures of the dark, literary. They couldn't walk in the sun and were the greatest predators. I honestly don't. Katie has to decide is community and family worth the risk to find the truth and break the rules? Oh and the very interesting young m...
Unapologetic Reader, Psychotic Writer
O_OThis book is........ different. If you thought you've read it all when it comes to YA vampires think again. With an Amish twist to the plot and vampires being creepy bloodthirsty predators of the night and not sparkly boyfriend material thingies - [b:The Hallowed Ones|13018514|The Hallowed Ones...

This was an awesome book. I loved the combination of Vampires + Amish. Though I don't know much about the Amish, I felt like they gave a good portrayal of how life goes there. The vampires where really scary, and I know I had a few nights with less sleep. :(As soon as book 2 gets a paperback I will b...
Reading, Writing and Being Generally Awesome
As seen on Ed and Em's Reviews! And read my interview with Laura. The Hallowed Ones has to be the creepiest book I've ever read. I'll be honest, I was a little hesitant to pick it up - only because I'm not a big fan of horror. Horror flicks, haunted houses, scary stories - yeah, all of that? No can d...
