IMHO it's good not because of the writing or stuff but the awesomeness of BtVS show, which I discovered when taking a course on gender studies.
I thought this book was great. I read it in a day, no problem. It was an easy, fun read. But, if you didn't like the show, you probably won't like the book because it's JUST like the episode.
