I'm a great fan of Chris Wooding's writing since reading Poison. That the story is set in a alternative Victorian time makes it even better.I only thought the characters to be a little flat; they could have been more interesting.

I was browsing the YA section of my local library and I stumbled across this book. Or maybe I should say that it called out to me.
