Since I skimmed more than 3 full chapters, I'm going to solidly vote this my least favorite of the Giffin books.I didn't care about Valerie. At all. I was so glad when I finished this book. Phew.
I'm always okay with how her books end. Somehow Giffin has the ability to garner the reader's trust in how the story is going to pan out, the ability to comfort the reader in the end no matter what happens, and the ability to update her readers on her past novels' characters. The thing I love about Emily Giffin is she makes her characters seem so real and the story believable. Although I wasn't a big fan of the subject matter, I was happy with the way the novel ended.
