I would give this a 4.5 simply because I had a little trouble getting into it and I felt unsatisfied at the ending. Overall a great book that everyone should take the time to read!

An engrossing book that tells what it's like to be a black maid in Jackson, Mississippi during the 60's.

I was very surprised by The Help, although I don’t know why. I suddenly feel overwhelmed trying to write down a review that conveys the most important elements of this book. Amazing. The book is really good. The audiobook is incredible, easily the best I have ever listened to. I have no idea what I would have gotten out of the book without these amazing talents reading it to me. I really don't think I would have enjoyed it nearly as much.

This book is amazing - written with such honesty and rawness that it is shocking. I couldn't put it down and finished it in 2 days. I watched the movie first and knew I had to read it - and if you're curious, the book and movie are equally amazing. -----------Originally posted on my blog Guiltless R...

I went back and forth between 4 and 5 stars and decided to round it on up to 5. Yes, there were some plot points that I thought were just too obviously tossed in to advance certain arcs but beside that, I couldn't stop listening to it and thought about it when I wasn't listening. I haven't been so e...
