This book was really kind of lame. It was entertaining enough, and it was certainly better than listening to the news of how our American Congress can't seem to get its act together and work together like everyone else on the planet has to do with their co-workers, but I digress. The book was a go...

This book is impossible to resist. It has fairly leapt to the top shelf, where it's nestled down deep with my all time favourites. I confess to being initially reluctant to delve into this story, I mean who really needs another campy, vampire tale? Lucky for me I put these feelings aside long enough...

Fantastic book which is full of suspense. The author writes this book in a very clever way, its not until the end of the book that you realised that at no point you know what the main character's name is!

For a fantasy junky, I can't believe that I loved the historical side of this book most of all. The slow and steady gathering of clues, the menace and suspended disbelief, Kostova does a masterful job slowling reeling in her readers.

For a mammoth-sized book such as this I expected a lot more resolution and a nice, well-spaced ending. Why do endings always feel so rushed to me? To be honest, I read this quite a long time ago (like 3 weeks, but still), so my original anger and ‘DO NOT LIKE’ have faded away, but I was mad at the e...
