I was quite worried, when I sat down and finally decided to dive into "The Hobbit", that I wouldn't enjoy it. I have heard from many people that it's the kind of book that you either love or hate, and I hoped I wouldn't be on the latter end. One of the things I enjoyed over the course of reading it ...

Seriously. I don't remember as a kid there being this many songs. I must have blanked it out. But yes, there is a lot of singing going on in The Hobbit. My plan is to read the other novels that are part of this universe due to the Amazon list just having the entire The Lord of the Rings books listed...

Like so many. I really liked this book. It was seriously a really fun fantasy book, with rich engaging characters and funny, witty banter. The only reason there is any problem with it whatsoever.....because I watched the freaking movies first and they were incredible. I went into this book with such...

Even as an adult, I still geek out over it just as much (if not more) than I did as a child. Love love l...

I couldn't tell you how many times I've read this, but I can tell you that each and every time I do, I notice something different, something more. It's, quite simply, my favourite book in the world. The detail is so rich, so vivid, and it's infinitely more than just a children's story, but it the sa...

I hadn't planned on re-reading The Hobbit. I had never finished reading Lord of the Rings (I had made it through The Two Towers, and then stalled out on trying to listen to the audiobook for The Return of the King, specifically when I got to the parts about the characters' lineages), and had planne...

I read The Hobbit many years ago when I was still a teenager, and it is one of my favorite stories. I did enjoy this radio adaptation, but The Hobbit is just one of those books best read, I think. The radio players doing this adaptation were good--there is nothing to complain about, really, but I ...
