mp3 ontheroadIt seems that many of my online friends rate this book highly and an hour in, I can say this is interesting. I find the hit and miss care of Jim Crow era black care particularly disturbing/enraging. Wow! I have just been side-reading about this flake...Alexis Carrel

Very interesting and well-researched book. It was a wonderful read and I was sad when it was over. The chapters jump back and forth through time but the timeline above each chapter head which indicates the year or range of years covered in the chapter helped immensely. I don't really have an opinion...

I liked the afterword best, with its discussion and analysis of the murky ethics of tissue donation and tissue ownership. We all marvel when they find the cure for this or new infor...

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks was fantastic. I was impressed by Skloot's ability to weave the story of the Lackses together with the story of HeLa. The book is extremely accessible for someone unfamiliar with the scientific terms, and read more like a novel than non-fiction.I've seen many peo...
