I initially was excited by this book. Action filled, vampire, slaughter. Then it turned maudlin. At about halfway through a love interests erupts and concludes with the typical fairy tale ending. I like a Stephen King ending. Nothing ever works out for the best!
This was kind of a guilty pleasure -- supernatural creatures killing Nazis; what's not to love? There was actually an interesting twist to it, though, and the story was genuinely creepy and scary.I know there was a movie made based on this novel. I saw it late one night, and it was terrible.
